John
Dinsdale
I am the Senior Veterinary
Surgeon and Co-Director with my wife, Janet, of Andale Veterinary
Centre. I qualified from Glasgow University in 1984 and have been
in the practice since July of that year.
I have been committed to the
future of the profession, our practice and staff including Nurse
Training and a New Graduate Support Scheme in conjunction with the
British Veterinary Association.
My main veterinary interests are
surgery and medicine, however, I enjoy all aspects of my job
especially the interaction with pets and clients. I have 4 children and enjoy all sports particularly running, mountain
biking and skiing. Our pets include 2 dogs (Stan & Grace), Rose
the cat, Will the Hamster & 2 tortoises (Shelly and Tommy). |

Rob
Davies
I qualified from Liverpool
University in 2000. After 3 years of working in a mixed large and
small animal practice, I took a break to travel round the world for
12 months.
Our dogs, Toby and Ted (pictured
here having his teeth looked at), and cats Murphy and Kip were
relieved once my wife Phoebe and I settled down in Cheshire.
I have a particular interest in
acupuncture for animals - see my section on acupuncture to find
out more and how it can benefit your pet.
Outside of work I enjoy mountain
biking and climbing. |

Michelle
Lawrence
I qualified from Glasgow
University in 1992 and worked in Scotland for a short period. I
then went to Ireland where I managed my own practice. In 2000, I
returned home to the North West and joined Andale.
In 2002, I married my long term
partner Dave. We had a 'different' wedding; we were married by Elvis
in The Little White Chapel, Las Vegas!
I have a German Shepherd Dog
called Bunty and 5 cats, all of which I have rescued. No doubt I
will acquire more!
I love all aspect of veterinary
work and now work part time so I can spend time with my little boy,
Harry, who was born in January 2006. |

Luke
Green
I qualified from the Royal
Veterinary College (London) in 2004. After a year in small animal
practice in Bedfordshire, I moved to Andale where I have worked
since the start of 2006.
I have a particular interest in
surgery and am currently signed on to the RCVS Certificate in
Small Animal Surgery.
Outside of work I am attracted to
anything shiny and electrical and I am currently being tutored in
the ways of climbing and biking.
I live with my partner, Esther,
who -as well as being a qualified Veterinary Nurse - is nearing the
end of the veterinary degree at Liverpool University. |

Gillian
Taylor
I graduated from Glasgow
University Vet School in July 2005. Knowing that I had always
wanted to be in a small animal practice, I took the job at Andale
in December of that year.
I enjoy both consulting and
surgery and I see myself staying in general practice long term.
Having recently attended a course
on ultrasound scanning, I have really enjoyed putting my new
skills into practice - looking at pets who are pregnant, and those
who
need further investigation into abdominal problems.
I live with my partner, Owen, who
is a farm animal vet in the area. Most of my spare time is spent
with our labrador, Abby. |

Dinsdale
As
Co-Director of Andale with my
husband, John, it was a real pleasure to join the team in May 2006
as Practice Manager after working 27 years in the Royal Bank of
Scotland Group.
Taking all the management duties
and the running of the practice away from John has freed him up to
do the things he loves the most; caring for, and interacting with
the pets and clients visiting our practice.
I am proud of the dedication,
professionalism, and loyalty of my staff, who have been with the
practice for many years and pride themselves on the rapport they
build with our clients and their pets. |

Lisa
Beesley
I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse
in 1994 and worked in a mixed large and small animal practice for
9 years before moving to a small animal practice for a further 8
years.
In 2006 I took the position of
Head Veterinary Nurse at Andale and have really enjoyed the
challenges and responsibilities this role brings. As a qualified
NVQ Assessor, I have especially liked supporting our trainee
Veterinary Nurses and passing on the knowledge I have gained over
the years.
My particular interests are in
Cat Behaviour and Pet Obesity and really like the results we
achieve with overweight pets at our Nurse Clinics.
I have 2 cats, Onion and Sage, and
in my spare time enjoy cooking and watching ruby league with my
husband, Stu. |

Murray
I am a qualified Veterinary Nurse
and have worked with John at Andale since 1990 after leaving
school. I qualified in January 1995.
I now work part time as I have 3
children and a husband to look after. I am passionate about my job
and I enjoy all aspects of Veterinary Nursing and I recently
completed a course on surgical nursing at Liverpool University.
It has been a privilege to see
Andale grow over the years from a small shop with one vet into our
current purpose built premises with 5 Vets.
In the evening I enjoy walking my
dog, Harry, and listening to music. |

Jackson
I have worked at Andale since
September 1997 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2000.
I really enjoy my nursing,
especially surgical nursing, and I have a particular passion for
dentistry. I would always encourage clients to have their pets
teeth checked every 6 months - no different to us!
I work part time now, to spend
time at home with my young son, Joel.
I also have my own pony, called
Rowan, who is now 30 - and who I have enjoyed caring for and riding
for over 13 years. |

Caroline
Rustage
I started training as a
Veterinary Nurse after leaving school. I qualified in 1997 and
joined Andale shortly after.
I enjoy all areas of Veterinary
Nursing and I am also a qualified NVQ Assessor involved in
supporting our trainee Veterinary Nurses. I was Head Nurse from
September 1997 until I went onto maternity leave at the end of
2005. I now work part time so
that I can spend some time with my daughter, Libby.
As well as doing the general
nursing duties, I am in charge of the daily drug and stock ordering
and I take pride in keeping the Pharmacy at Andale well stocked
with the latest drugs available for the care of our pets. |

Andrea
Cookson
I have worked at Andale for just
over 4 years; the first 3 years as a receptionist, and the last as
a student Veterinary Nurse.
I am due to complete my training
in 2008 and hope to go on to take a surgical diploma. I have
especially enjoyed the Nurse Clinics that we hold for pets with
weight problems and pets with Diabetic problems. I have recently
completed and passed an exam called BVNA Diabetic Adviser and have
enjoyed putting my skills into practice at the clinics.
I am married with 2 children.
When I get some spare time I like to spend it with my family,
walking my Bull Terrier, Maddy, and going to the gym. |

Jess
Herley
I am the youngest member of staff
at Andale - having only left school in June 2007, and joining the
team in September. I am currently working towards a qualification
'Animal Nursing Assistant', which will lead into training for a
Veterinary Nursing qualification next year.
I am really excited about my
career choice and love looking after all the animals visiting
Andale.
In my spare time I enjoy looking
after my horses, Ellie and Sid. I also love to walk my 2 greyhounds,
Jake and Joey. |

Howard
I am one of four receptionists
here at Andale. I started work here in 2000. During this period, I
have gone to college to gain a qualification in 'Pre-Veterinary
Nursing'.
I am a very enthusiastic person
and I take pride in my work, especially enjoying the interaction I
have with clients and their pets.
I have several pets of my own,
three of which were kittens abandoned here that I took home to
hand rear. I have recently taken in another stray cat, white and
ginger just like Tigger above. |

Howard
I am a Veterinary Receptionist
working within an enthusiastic and devoted team. I have been
working at Andale for over 4 years and thoroughly enjoy what I do,
especially the rapport we build with our clients and their pets.
I live with my partner, and we
have 3 grown up daughters. I love to get out and about with my
King Charles Spaniel, Oscar, and - when not spending time with my
family - I enjoy getting out in the fresh air, on my mountain bike
and walking. |

Sandra
Brindle
I was very lucky to join the
dedicated Andale Team as a part-time receptionist in June 2006,
after working with horses for many years.
I have been entrusting Andale
with my own pets' needs since John opened the surgery, so I feel
that I can view the needs of our clients and pets from both sides
of the counter.
I have been showing boxers for 25
years, one of whom qualified for Crufts. I also enjoy stewarding
at Boxer and all breed shows and I am on the Boxer judging list.
I am currently owned by 2 horses,
2 cats, 3 Boxers and a new puppy German Shepherd! |

Coles
I have been a receptionist at
Andale since January 1994. I love my job and pride myself in being
a friendly, approachable face for our clients.
Having worked here for 13 years, I
know most clients by name and have built up long-standing
relationships with them.
I now work part time as I have 2
little boys, Hayden and Ethan, whom I love spending time with, as
well as with my partner, Steve. |
